There are some things that need to be worked on and developed more. but the game at the moment does not have any obvious game killing bugs and it is in a very playable state.. Horrible game, nothing like expected. I have a ton of Early Access games which all are playable and most common bugs are fixed. However this game is littered with them. Feels like an Unreal game that was developed in about 16 hours or less. Couldn't gather bark, spawn was filled with mobs that would spawn kill you, requires too much eating which is just insane. Steam is getting littered with all these fly by night games where any half-decent man\/woman that can use Unreal or Unity make a game over night then promote it. With 10 reviews obviously it isn't popular. I will come back in a few months to see if any changes have been made and will pull down this review if there is any good changes. For now, refunded as it isn't worth paying for a game as it is barely in a playable stage. I am a developer myself and I fully support developers but it needs to have at least basics down and be playable in order to charge for it. This should be a free demo then after the basic things are addressed then shoot to paid so you can further develop it.. This is a great survival game, and I can only imagine it will get even better before release. It takes a while to figure out how things work, but I never object to that in a game, I like a challenge. The weather and seasons are great. I absolutely love the ambient insect and animal life, even though some of them startle the blorp out of me occasionally. Staying alive through winter actually feels like an achievement, especially if you underestimate how cold it is going to get (and are a real cheapskate like me, who don't want to use your resources on making shoddy clothing that don't last terribly long). There are plenty of enemies to fight, but you can also avoid them if you just want to focus on surviving the world. Unlike games like 7 Days to Die, enemies do not constantly seek you out, so your base seems to be safe enough. The creatures in the game are also very believable. They look good, move well (I am VERY impressed with how the deer flee if you try to hunt them). The hostile ones have made short work of me, particularly when I want to "just look a little further, even though my health is at 24%". Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. At least if said cat had a statue of ressurection placed in some nice spot. This is also a game that sucks me in, alllowing me to forget my troubles when I require it. I may think I've been playing for a few minutes, but suddenly, hours have passed. Which is invaluable when I have a bad day, one that I need to get through with a minimum of fuss.SPOILERS:*Unless you live in the desert, save your smelting and baking for the winter. You're going to need that extra heat then anyway.*Find a good pine forest to go lumberjacking in, in order to get enough tree sap; you're going to want those water barrels.*When the mists come, stay where you are, or go straight back to your base. You'll get hopelessly lost if you're not careful. When it's dark, you can at least see the horizon and keep track of your position, but in the mist, all you can see are your closest surroundings.*If you don't live in a dense leafy forest, you will want to harvest clay during your first summer. Midsummer may be the only time water level is low enough.. Horrible game, nothing like expected. I have a ton of Early Access games which all are playable and most common bugs are fixed. However this game is littered with them. Feels like an Unreal game that was developed in about 16 hours or less. This should be a free demo then after the basic things are addressed then shoot to paid so you can further develop it.. Game has potential. Great concept to include seasons and flooding. Resources ebb and wane as a result. Makes the player prioritize and plan accordingly. Otherwise, you die. Crafting is somewhat minimal at the time of this review, but you can see the developer is actively fixing bugs and updating crafting issues. It is certainly an alpha feel, but it is playable in its present form. If the developer stays on top of the game development it will be a neat crafting\/survival game with it's own twists to compliment the genre. I give it a thumbs up for now.. as many have said- Lag, bad lag. overdid the graphics an under-did the gameplay. and the gameplay mechanics. got a long way to go there. ai make no sounds, wolf when attacking makes no sounds, and theres a lil uglee dwarf guy has flaming arrows -either one of these kills u evryday, today, both at once, I suppose the wolf (or fox) works with the lil dwarf guy.alls I managed to make is basic bow an that dont even kill a geese or whateva thats supposed to be the white bird by the lake, shot a deer 10 times ran out of arrows an it ran away. hope u like mushrooms, aint seen no berries they talk about, but no matter, the lil guy or the fox gonna kill you everyday anyways, or both of them at once. try somthing else- frustratingly unfinished, should be way better by now released in oct 2016. As of now the game I can't recommend the game. World seems rather lifeless, Animal AI is terrible, and in general it just doesn't feel right. My limited gametime is because I just don't enjoy the gameplay much. Will adjust this review if the game improves but for now give it a pass.
